The Australian Sports Commission is the Government body that develops, supports and invests in sport at all levels in Australia. Pony Club Australia works closely with the Australian Sports Commission to develop pony / horse riding from community participation to high performance

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST ARE BEING SORT FOR COACHES AND CHAPERONES FOR THE FOLLOWING:

  • International Mounted Games being held in Canada from the 24th June to the 7th July 2009
     

  • Interpacific Exchange being held in Hong Kong from the 24th July to the 7th August 2009

has just released a new book - The Horse in Australia

The Horse in Australia

Pony Club is an International voluntary youth organization affiliated with The Worldwide Association of Young Riders, known as The Pony Club, represented in more than 20 countries, with an overall membership exceeding  110,000.

Originating in Britain as a scheme to encourage young people to learn to ride, it focused on riding instruction and fun.

It has now become the largest association of riders in the world.

OBJECTS OF PONY CLUB

To encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding.

To provide instruction in riding and horsemastership and to instil in members the proper care of their animals.

To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self-discipline
