Gear Check Accreditation

BECOMING AN ACCREDITED GEAR CHECKER

Pony Club Australia has created a national Gear Check accreditation to help clubs with a consistent Gear Check accreditation process to ensure the welfare of our horses and the safety of our riders at both competition and rally or muster days.

WHO CAN BECOME A GEAR CHECKER?

 The pre requisites to become an Accredited Gear Checker are

  • Be a current member of Pony Club Australia
  • Be 16 years or over to commence
  • Hold a current Working with Children certificate for your state

The Gear Checker Accreditation is a compulsary pre-requisite to become a PCANCAS Foundation coach.

STEP ONE:
Download the Gear Checker Accreditation Information manual below. You can also view our Gear Checker webinar for additional information.

STEP TWO:
Find a current PCANCAS Level 1 Coach who can assess you in your state.

TIP: Check with Chief Instructor, Zone Chief Instructor or State Office if you need a contact

STEP THREE:
Click below to complete the written Gear Check Assessment

STEP FOUR:
Book in with your Level 1 Coach to complete the practical Gear Check assessment

STEP FIVE:
Your approved submission will then be sent to Pony Club Australia for processing

STEP SIX:
Pony Club Australia will update your JustGo member profile with the new credential, “Gear Checker” and you will be sent an automatic email when this is complete. Congratulations!
