Pony Club Australia (PCA) is pleased to announce the election of three directors at the Annual General Meeting held in Melbourne on Saturday, 25 May. Nick Hassett and Tonia Murtagh have been re-elected for another two-year term, and we are excited to welcome Marylou Hodges as the incoming director, replacing Jacob McLoughlin who served diligently for several years.

The Nominations Committee, led by independent Chair Shannon Durrant, recommended the appointed directors based on the skills matrix priorities of education and horse welfare. The committee’s recommendations were endorsed, resulting in Dr. Kate Fenner returning for another two-year term and Alison Cairns joining the PCA board, replacing Maris Beck.

PCA Board Chair Heather Disher expressed gratitude to the outgoing directors and enthusiasm for the future with the new board members.

“We are delighted to welcome Marylou Hodges and Alison Cairns to the PCA board, and we look forward to the continued contributions of Nick Hassett, Tonia Murtagh, and Dr. Kate Fenner. Their combined expertise and passion for Pony Club activities will undoubtedly strengthen our organisation. I would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Jacob McLoughlin and Maris Beck for their dedicated service and invaluable contributions to PCA,” Ms Disher said.
