As Secretary of Blacktown Pony Club and Event Secretary of Zone 19, Sonia has made invaluable contributions to the development of these clubs. Her tireless efforts ensure that rallies and events run smoothly, from organisation and scoring to setup and pack-down. Her involvement at the zone level is a cornerstone of Pony Club activities, ensuring members have the best possible experience.
Sonia’s professionalism and dedication to good governance are evident in her efforts to keep Blacktown Pony Club organised and operating efficiently. She maintains regular communication with the local council, ensuring the grounds are well-maintained and the council remains informed of club activities. Sonia’s behind-the-scenes work is crucial to the success of the club and the zone. She played a key role in preparing the Pony Club grounds and welcoming the International Pony Club Mounted Games teams for their warmup session at Blacktown Pony Club, working closely with the council to create an exceptional experience. Additionally, she was instrumental in coordinating the formal dinner for the International Mounted Games teams, showcasing her ability to manage large-scale events.
Sonia also played a significant role in ensuring that Blacktown Pony Club participated in the Pony Race Taster Day earlier this year. Despite the club’s smaller size, Sonia’s marketing efforts and ongoing communication with key stakeholders have kept the club thriving.
