Incident Reporting
A life with horses starts here
Everyone knows that working with horses has its risks and the best way to manage risk is to ensure best practice safety procedures are followed in the event of an incident or near miss.
When an incident, accident or near miss happens at Pony Club these are reported on the Incident Reporting System. The report can be filled in on a computer or mobile device on the spot, including adding any photos. The system also allows you to use a mobile or tablet device to fill the form. Use the Incident Reporting System to report incidents involving:
- Rider fall
- Concussion/head injury
- Non-fall person injury
- Horse injury
- Safety issue
- Near miss
The Incident Reporting System enables our organisation to:
- Keep accurate records of incidents and accidents
- Support any insurance claims lodged with our insurer
- Use the collective data to help us manage our risks
It is important to submit all accidents, incidents and near misses to assist the organisation to understand its risks and assist future committees by recording information on accidents, incidents or near misses.
