July is set to be a big month for Pony Club Australia, with two international exchange experiences bringing riders, teams and Pony Club communities together from around the world.
International Tetrathlon Exchange Underway in Queensland
Pony Club Australia is proud to be hosting the 2026 International Tetrathlon Exchange in Queensland from 30 June to 20 July.
Teams from Australia, the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, New Zealand and the United States will come together across the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Toowoomba for three weeks of competition, cultural experiences and international friendship.
Tetrathlon combines riding, running, swimming and laser shooting, requiring athletes to be adaptable, determined and supportive of one another across four very different phases.
Representing Australia are:
Female Team
Emma Wiese (WA), Darcy Miller (TAS), Chloe Leen (VIC), Emily Maxwell (WA) and Tessa Leen (VIC)
Male Team
Campbell Black (WA), Oliver Homer (VIC), Hayden Taylor (QLD), Dan Wiese (WA) and William Nieuwenhuis (VIC)
World Teams
Abbey Coxon (NSW), Emma Grave (VIC) and Ryan Frantom (WA)
The Australian team is supported by Coach Darcy Wade (VIC) and Team Manager Sharon Hutton (QLD).
Competition will be held at Yandina & District Pony Club on the Sunshine Coast, Mudgeeraba Pony & Hack Club on the Gold Coast, and West Toowoomba Pony Club in the Darling Downs. Alongside the competition program, riders will experience Queensland’s beaches, bush, wildlife and unique Australian adventures while building friendships with Pony Club members from around the world.
Australian Mounted Games Team Heads to the United States
The 2026 International Mounted Games Exchange begins on 10 July, with Australia’s team travelling to the United States for ten days of competition, cultural activities and shared experiences alongside international riders.
The team will travel through Atlanta, Cincinnati and Kentucky, with highlights including competition at the Kentucky Horse Park, a visit to Churchill Downs and a range of activities designed to build confidence, broaden perspectives and create lasting connections.
Representing Australia are Bailey Logue (NSW), Chelsea Davidge (NT), Jack Hamilton (VIC), Ellie Steele (WA) and Ruby Atkins (TAS), supported by Coach Karen Pearce (TAS) and Team Manager Edwina Hare (VIC).
International exchanges are about far more than competition. They give young people the opportunity to represent Australia, learn in new environments, meet riders from other countries and experience the friendships that make Pony Club a global community.
Keep an eye on Pony Club Australia’s social media channels throughout July for updates, photos and coverage from both exchanges.
