Positions Available

National Discipline Sub-Committee Members

Pony Club Australia is seeking passionate, knowledgeable and enthusiastic members to join our National Discipline Sub-Committees for:

  • Eventing
  • Dressage
  • Showjumping

This is an opportunity to help shape the future of these Olympic disciplines within Pony Club Australia and contribute to their growth, safety and enjoyment at all levels.

The sub-committees will play an important role in supporting the development of each discipline across Australia, including national rules, participation pathways, coaching and officials development, and input into the planning and delivery of Pony Club Australia National Championships.

 

About the roles

Committee members will work collaboratively within a national framework to support safe, inclusive and progressive discipline development.

As a committee member, you may be involved in:

  • promoting and growing participation in your discipline across Australia
  • contributing to the development and maintenance of competition rules
  • supporting training programs for riders,coaches and officials
  • helping develop clear participation and officiating pathways
  • providing input into the planning and delivery of National Championships
  • contributing to a strategic plan for the long-term growth of the discipline in Pony Club
  • promoting safe, inclusive and positive environments for all participants

 

Committee members should be prepared to actively contribute to committee work, including discussions, projects and document review.

 

Who we are looking for

Pony Club Australia is seeking individuals who:

  • have a strong background or interest in Eventing, Dressage or Showjumping
  • are committed to the values of Pony Club Australia, including inclusion and safety
  • can contribute strategically and work collaboratively within a national framework
  • have experience in coaching, officiating, competition or administration, or a strong interest in contributing to the discipline
  • have, or are willing to apply for, a current Working with Children Check
  • have completed, or are willing to complete, the Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction and National Integrity Framework online courses through Sport Integrity Australia
    Committee structure and commitment

 

Pony Club Australia is seeking state representation on each sub-committee to ensure a diversity of knowledge and experience from across the country.

Appointments are for a two-year term, with a maximum of three consecutive terms.

Committees will meet a minimum of four times per year, with additional meetings or project work as required. Attendance and active participation are important.

Pony Club Australia is seeking a full-time team member to support national programs and develop resources that enhance the Pony Club experience for members and clubs.

Pony Club Australia is the national body for more than 30,000 members across 800+ clubs and centres, promoting education, rider safety, and horse welfare. We’re seeking a full-time team member to support national programs, provide excellent member service, and help develop resources that enhance the Pony Club experience. 

Location flexible | $60,000 + super
