Polocrosse

Polocrosse combines elements of polo and lacrosse, originating in Australia and now enjoyed internationally.

Played on horseback, participants use racquets with a loose net to handle a white ball—carrying, passing, catching, and bouncing it—as they aim to score goals. Matches feature two teams of three players each, with alternating chukkas (periods) lasting six minutes, followed by recovery breaks to ensure the well-being of both riders and horses.

What Opportunities Do I Have?

Polocrosse offers Pony Club® members engaging opportunities to participate in a dynamic team sport that emphasises skill, strategy, and teamwork. Players develop proficiency in horseback coordination and ball-handling techniques while enjoying the camaraderie of competitive play.

Pony Club polocrosse competitions provide platforms for riders to compete locally and potentially progress to regional and national levels, fostering a passion for equestrian sportsmanship and teamwork among participants.
