RIDDEN Activities

Musical Ride

A Musical Ride is a choreographed equestrian performance set to music, blending elements of dressage with creative flair.

Typically performed by a team of four riders, each dressed in themed costumes, these rides are designed to entertain both participants and spectators alike. Precision timing and synchronised movements are key components, requiring extensive practice and coordination among team members.

Under the guidance of a coach, teams meticulously plan their routines, incorporating various manoeuvres such as synchronised turns, formations, spins, and crossings. The goal is to execute these movements with seamless precision, showcasing the team’s unity and skillful horsemanship.

What Opportunities Do I Have?

Participating in Musical Rides offers Pony Club® members a range of exciting opportunities. Beyond the enjoyment of performing to music and wearing themed costumes, riders gain valuable teamwork skills and improve their horsemanship abilities through disciplined practice and rehearsals.

These performances are not only for recreational purposes but also serve as avenues for competition and entertainment. Teams may choose to participate in local festivals, shows, or qualify for State Championships in some regions. Larger events can feature multiple teams, creating a vibrant spectacle that captivates audiences with its combination of equestrian skill and artistic expression. Whether aiming for competitive success or simply enjoying the camaraderie of team-based performance, Musical Rides provide a memorable and rewarding experience for Pony Club® members passionate about horses and creative expression.
