Horseball

Horseball is an action-packed sport that combines elements of basketball, rugby, and even a bit of quidditch, but all played on horseback.

Introduced to Australia in 2009, it has gained popularity following its success throughout Europe. In Horseball, two teams of four players each compete to gain possession of a leather-bound ball.

How It Works

The objective for the attacking team is to make a minimum of three passes between team members before attempting to shoot the ball through a vertical, hoop-shaped goal.

Meanwhile, the defensive team can protect their goal by using their horses to push opponents out of the playing area or by getting alongside opponents and pulling the ball from their hands. The game requires a high degree of horsemanship, teamwork, and dexterity. It is typically played over two 10-minute halves, making for an intense and fast-paced experience.
