Combined Training

Combined Training is an equestrian competition consisting of two distinct phases: dressage and showjumping.

Unlike eventing, it does not include the cross country phase. The dressage phase always precedes the showjumping phase. Similar to eventing, the winner is determined by the rider with the fewest penalties accumulated from both phases.

What Opportunities Do I Have?

Participants in Combined Training ride one dressage test and one showjumping round at their respective graded level.

The competition does not include a jump-off round. This format allows riders to demonstrate their skills in both precision and agility, showcasing their abilities in both flatwork and jumping disciplines within a single event.
