Start Your Own Pony Club

Foster friendships, fun and skills!

Bring Your Community Together

Have you ever thought about starting a Pony Club in your community?

It’s a fantastic way to bring riders together, share the joy of horse sports, and help young people develop their skills and confidence in a safe, supportive environment.

Starting a Pony Club might seem like a big step, but we’re here to make the process simple. To get started, simply fill out an Expression of Interest Form.

What’s Involved?

The Expression of Interest Form helps us learn more about your plans for the club and how we can best support you. This is the first step to setting up a Pony Club affiliated with Pony Club Australia and your Pony Club State Organisation.

Here’s what you’ll need to include:

The proposed address of the club.

An estimate of how many members you expect to join.

Information about any PCA or EA-qualified instructors who may already be involved, including their names and qualifications.

Confirmation that the club will become an affiliated association, as required by your state’s laws.

Tell us about the club you want to create! Share its background, the types of activities you’d like to offer, and your goals for the future.

Why Start a Pony Club?

Starting a Pony Club is an exciting opportunity to:

  • Build a friendly and welcoming community for riders of all ages and abilities.
  • Offer a variety of fun and educational ridden and non-ridden activities.
  • Help young riders develop not just their skills, but also their confidence, teamwork, and love for horses.
  • Be part of Australia’s largest organisation for horse sports, with access to internationally recognised programs and resources.
