Introduction

Integrity

Ensuring a safe and fair Pony Club® experience.

Commitment to Integrity

At Pony Club Australia®, integrity is at the heart of everything we do.

We’re dedicated to fostering a safe, ethical, and inclusive environment where all members can enjoy their equestrian activities with confidence.

Partnership with Sport Integrity Australia

We proudly collaborate with Sport Integrity Australia, the federal agency committed to safeguarding the integrity of sport.

This partnership helps us uphold the highest standards of conduct and safety across all Pony Club® activities. Learn more about Sport Integrity Australia on their website.
National Integrity Framework (NIF)

Our adherence to the National Integrity Framework (NIF) ensures clear guidelines and policies for behavior during Pony Club® events. Developed in partnership with Sport Integrity Australia, the NIF aims to maintain fairness and safety in sport. It includes essential policies such as:

Pony Club Australia®'s comprehensive Integrity Framework

In addition to the NIF, we have established our own robust Integrity Framework. This framework includes policies such as:

Promoting Integrity Together

Every member of the Pony Club® community, including riders, officials, parents, and supporters, plays a crucial role in upholding integrity. If you observe any misconduct, please report it to us promptly. Make a complaint
At Pony Club Australia®, we are committed to managing complaints transparently and fairly, ensuring that all concerns are addressed impartially to maintain our standards. Pony Club® should be a fun, fair, and safe environment where everyone can enjoy learning to ride and care for horses. Unfortunately, passionate pursuits can sometimes lead to unacceptable behaviours that need to be addressed. If you believe someone has breached an eligible policy, rule, or regulation, you can report the behaviour or make a formal complaint.
  • Formal complaints: These trigger formal action by Pony Club® or Sport Integrity Australia.
  • Reports: While they may not always result in formal action, they can prompt further steps if deemed necessary.
Who handles what?
  • Sport Integrity Australia: Manages alleged breaches of the Safeguarding Children and Young People policy, discrimination in sport, and doping in sport.
  • Pony Club Australia®: Addresses alleged breaches of relevant policies, rules, and regulations at the organisational level most suited to handle the issue.
The Pony Club Australia® complaints form helps ensure your concern is directed to the appropriate organisation for resolution. Make a complaint

National Integrity Framework Course (ASC E-Learning)

The National Integrity Framework course is essential for Pony Club® Board and Committee Members. It explains the Framework’s origins and its role in making equine sport fairer, safer, and more enjoyable.

Education & Resources
Ensuring our riders and support personnel understand their rights and responsibilities is crucial for maintaining sport integrity. Various tools and resources are available to keep participants informed.

  • Integrity eLearning: Sport Integrity Australia eLearning offers online courses on sport integrity topics such as doping, match-fixing, illicit drugs, and ethical decision-making. Specific anti-doping courses are available for coaches, support personnel, medical practitioners, and parents.
  • Sport Integrity App: This app is a comprehensive resource for all sport integrity needs, designed with athletes in mind. It allows users to check medication bans, find low-risk supplements, determine the need for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE), and report concerns about doping, match-fixing, harassment, or drug use. It also provides eLearning modules, testing information, and feedback opportunities. The app is free and available on Apple and Android app stores.
  • Play by the Rules: This platform offers information, resources, tools, and free online training for administrators, coaches, officials, players, parents, and spectators to help prevent and address discrimination, harassment, child safety, inclusion, and integrity issues in sport.
