PCIA Virtual Dressage gives Pony Club Australia members the opportunity to compete internationally without leaving home.
Riders film and submit dressage tests, which are judged alongside entries from Pony Clubs around the world. It’s a practical, accessible way to experience international competition while riding your own horse in a familiar environment.
Pony Club Australia participates in two formats: the International Virtual Dressage Show and the Virtual Dressage Training Challenge.
International Virtual Dressage Show
The International Virtual Dressage Show follows a traditional competition format.
Riders perform a set test which is judged against international competitors at the same level. Pony Club Australia nominates teams across multiple classes, with riders selected based on their results, experience and overall suitability.
This format is focused on performance — giving riders the opportunity to benchmark themselves against international standards.
Virtual Dressage Training Challenge
The Virtual Dressage Training Challenge is designed for development.
Teams compete over two rounds, with the aim of improving their score by applying judges’ feedback between tests. The focus is on learning, refinement and progression, rather than a single result.
Riders are selected not only on performance, but also on their willingness to engage with feedback and develop their riding.
How It Works
- Riders are selected to represent Pony Club Australia
