Each year, the National Tetrathlon Committee compiles results from Tetrathlons across Australia to determine the recipients of the Tetrathlon National High Points Award.
To be eligible for this award, riders must meet the following jump height requirements, corresponding to their age groups:
- Sub Junior (12 years and under): Minimum jump height of 70cm
- Junior (13 to 16 years): Minimum jump height of 85cm
- Senior (17 to 24 years): Minimum jump height of 95cm
In addition to the jump heights, results must be scored according to the run and swim optimum times, as well as the points per second or swim points per metre outlined in the National rule book.
Given the varying number of events available to riders in different states, the leaderboard for the High Points Award is based on the single highest result achieved by each rider within the year, rather than a cumulative tally of multiple events.
