A Celebration of Skill, Friendship and Pony Club Spirit
The Pony Club Australia National Championships are the pinnacle of Pony Club competition, bringing together riders from across Australia to represent their states and territories on the national stage.
Held every two years, the Championships celebrate horsemanship, teamwork, sportsmanship and the friendships at the heart of Pony Club. Riders compete for national honours across multiple disciplines, with results contributing to the coveted Roger Braham OAM Perpetual Shield.
Looking Ahead to 2027
The 2027 Pony Club Australia National Championships will be held at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre in Victoria from Saturday, 25 September to Wednesday, 29 September 2027.
The 2027 Championships will feature:
- Dressage
- Showjumping
- Eventing
- Combined Training
- Mounted Games
- Tetrathlon
- Quiz
- Pony Club All-Rounder
Combined Training and the Pony Club All-Rounder will join the Nationals program for the first time, creating new opportunities for riders to represent their states and territories. The All-Rounder will incorporate elements of traditional gymkhana skills within an exciting new national competition.
Planning is now underway, with information about the competition, venue, participation opportunities and event partners to be released as preparations progress.

Building on a Proud Legacy
The Ranvet 2025 Pony Club Australia National Championships, held at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre, brought the Pony Club community together for a week of national competition, learning and connection.
Victoria claimed the Roger Braham OAM Perpetual Shield in one of the closest finishes in recent memory, reflecting the exceptional standard of riders from across the country.
The Championships also showcased Pony Club’s enduring commitment to education, horse welfare and community, with learning opportunities, welfare presentations and industry demonstrations complementing the competition program.
