By Emma Le Grand, PCA Marketing & Communications Manager
In 2026, a key focus of my role is strengthening how Pony Club connects with members, families and communities — both those already involved, and those who are just discovering us.
We know that people’s first impressions often come through social media, websites and online searches. That means the way we communicate matters. It affects how easily people can find information, understand their options, and take the next step into their local club.
Supporting Membership, Learning and Coaching
This year, we’ll be using our digital platforms to better promote the pathways available within Pony Club — including membership, Proficiency Certificates, coaching and education opportunities. Our aim is to make it easier for families to understand how Pony Club works, what it offers, and how they can get involved locally.
Strengthening Club Culture Through Communication
We also know that creating safe, respectful and inclusive club environments takes ongoing effort. It doesn’t happen automatically.
Through our digital channels, we’ll continue to highlight positive behaviours, good role models and examples of clubs working well together, while supporting national initiatives focused on welfare, inclusion and respectful participation.
Clear, consistent communication plays an important role in setting expectations and reinforcing the values we want to see across our community.
Learning Where Future Interest Is Growing
Another focus for 2026 is better understanding where interest in Pony Club is emerging. By carefully testing different messages and campaigns online, we can learn which communities are engaging most strongly and where families are looking for riding opportunities. This helps support future planning and resource allocation.
Building for the Long Term
Behind the scenes, we’re working to improve the consistency of our branding, templates and digital pathways, so communication is clearer and easier for everyone to use.
The goal is to build systems that support clubs and volunteers over time, rather than adding complexity.
I’m looking forward to continuing this work alongside the national team, states and partners, and to sharing what we learn as these initiatives develop.
