The Inter-Pacific Exchange (IPE) is returning in 2025, offering a prestigious international opportunity for Pony Club members to represent Australia on the world stage.
This biennial event brings together riders from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the USA for an unforgettable experience of competition, cultural exchange, and international friendships.

2025 Event Overview
Dates: 21 September – 5 October 2025
Location: Little River, Victoria
Participating Nations: Australia, USA, Canada, New Zealand
This year’s IPE will take on a fresh format, reframing traditional views of competition and placing horse welfare and emotional intelligence at the centre. Riders will be partnered with Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds (OTTs) for a two-week intensive training program focused on teamwork, ethical horsemanship, and partnership.
The program will culminate in two key events:
- 6-Bar Jumping Challenge – 1 October 2025
- Nations Cup Team Tournament – 3 October 2025
Spectators are warmly encouraged to save the dates and witness the program in action.
Selection & Eligibility
Applications for the 2025 IPE closed on 18 March 2025.
To be considered, riders needed to:
- Be a Pony Club Australia member aged 17–26 (as of 1 January 2025)
- Hold a minimum B Certificate
- Have experience in Showjumping at 1.10m and Eventing at 1.00m (preferred)
- Demonstrate the ability to ride a variety of horses, including green or inexperienced mounts
