The competition will run for 6 weeks, from Thursday, August 8 to Thursday, September 19. Photos taken any time in the last 12 months are eligible for submission.

We’re looking for high-quality photos that embody Pony Club Australia’s core values: Unity, Integrity, Innovation, Accessibility, Kindness, and Horse Welfare. Whether it’s a dynamic action shot, a heartwarming moment, or a creative composition, we want to see your best work!
Categories and Awards
Submit your photos in any of the following categories:

In addition to first, second, and third prizes for each category, we have special awards for:
- Best Youth Photographer (taken by a Pony Club member aged under 15)

You can enter as many photos as you like, but each photo must be submitted in only one category at a time.

Terms & Conditions
Eligibility
To participate in the Pony Club Australia Photo Give-Away, participants must be registered members of a Pony Club affiliated with Pony Club Australia.
Photo Specifications:
Photos must:
- Have been taken within the last 12 months.
- Meet the following speficications:
- Resolution: 72 DPI is fine; higher if possible.
- Size: Width should be at least 1200 pixels; height should match.
- File Size: At least 1MB.
- Format: Use JPEG for most photos; PNG if your photo has clear edges or needs transparency.
- Aspect Ratio: Keep the photo’s shape as it is; don’t stretch or squash it.
- Showcase Pony Club activities or scenes that align with Pony Club Australia’s values of Unity, Integrity, Innovation, Accessibility, Kindness, and horse welfare.
- Clearly indicate the nominated value category (Unity, Integrity, Innovation, Accessibility, Kindness, or horse welfare).
Usage Rights
By submitting a photo, participants grant Pony Club Australia:
- Unlimited, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display the photo in any and all marketing and communication materials.
- Rights to use the photo indefinitely without expiration, including but not limited to website content, social media, print materials, and promotional campaigns.
Selection of Winners
Winners will be selected by the Pony Club Australia administration team based on:
- How well the photo demonstrates the nominated Pony Club value.
- Adherence to the specified photo specifications.

Most Creative Composition Award: Given to the photo that demonstrates the most artistic and innovative use of composition techniques. Heartwarming Moment Award: Recognising a photo that captures a touching or emotionally impactful moment involving horses or Pony Club members. Pony Club Spirit Award: Awarded to the photo that best embodies the spirit of camaraderie, teamwork, and sportsmanship within Pony Club activities. Community Engagement Award: Recognising the photo that best illustrates Pony Club members engaging positively with their local community or promoting Pony Club values outside of club activities. Prize: 1 x 1L Equinade Showsilk Shampoo Concentrate, 1 x 1L Equinade Showsilk Protein Conditioner, A voucher for 20% off on the Equinade website. Along with stickers, brochures and an Equinade bag.
Best Educational or Informative Photo Award: Given to the photo that educates or informs viewers about an aspect of horsemanship, Pony Club programs, or equestrian knowledge. Prize: 1 x 1L Equinade Showsilk Shampoo Concentrate, 1 x 1L Equinade Showsilk Protein Conditioner, A voucher for 20% off on the Equinade website. Along with stickers, brochures and an Equinade bag.
*Honourable mentions: Additional photos that may not win a prize but are still recognised and showcased on the website or social media platforms.
Submission Guidelines
Each participant may submit multiple photos, but each photo must be entered separately and must clearly specify the nominated value category.
Competition Period
The Photo Give-Away competition opens on Thursday, August 8, and closes on Thursday, September 19.
Confirmation of Permissions
By entering the Photo Give-Away, the participant confirms:
- They are the owner of the photo submitted.
- That they have obtained permission from any individuals depicted in the photo to use their image as outlined in these terms and conditions.
Notification of Winners
Winners will be notified via email or phone within 14 days after the closing date of the competition. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, Pony Club Australia reserves the right to withdraw the prize from that winner and select a replacement winner.
Disqualification
Pony Club Australia reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these terms and conditions or is deemed inappropriate or offensive.
Rights to Modify
Pony Club Australia reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Photo Give-Away in whole or in part at its sole discretion.
Privacy
Personal information collected from participants will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Photo Give-Away and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
Agreement to Terms
By submitting a photo to the Pony Club Australia Photo Give-Away, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
