Abigail Graham is an enthusiastic and dedicated rider who joined the Pony Club in December 2021. Since then, she has attended every monthly rally, except when competing at other pony club events like the State Championships. Abigail actively participates in Zone events, including Zone Finals and State Gymkhana, and has made the most of her experience by attending the Zone Pony Club camp and working bees. Her eagerness to learn new skills and take part in various disciplines shines through in everything she does.
Abigail has already completed her E and D certificates and is now focused on earning her D* and C certificates, demonstrating her commitment to her equestrian education. She has achieved remarkable success at pony club events, including winning the 2022 Highpoint Showjumping Series for F Grade (All Ages), the 2023 Highpoint Dressage Series for Preparatory C Under 12, the 2023 Highpoint Games Series for 11 to 14 years, and the 2024 Highpoint Dressage Series for Novice (All Ages). Additionally, Abigail showcased her talents in small pony racing at Morphettville in March 2024, finishing an impressive sixth place.
Her strong bond with her ponies is evident in the way they work together to achieve their goals across various riding disciplines. Abigail takes her responsibilities seriously, ensuring that her ponies are groomed, fed, and exercised daily, all while handling their training herself. Over the past year, she has benefited from regular lessons with a dressage coach to enhance her skills and strengthen her partnership with her ponies.
Abigail and her ponies exemplify the spirit of Pony Club, illustrating how its supportive and nurturing environment can help young riders grow from nervous first-timers to confident competitors in just two years. The opportunities provided by Pony Club not only benefit the children and their ponies but also their families, creating a remarkable community. Thanks to her experiences in Pony Club, Abigail has learned to dream big and is excited about the great things the future holds.
