Best Achievement by a Rider Aged 13 – 17 Years

Shelby Turl is an enthusiastic and dedicated member of Cambooya Pony Club, actively participating in rallies and club activities.

Over the past year, Shelby has consistently placed in the top five at numerous events, including gymkhanas and other competitions. Last September, she competed at the PCQ State Formal Gymkhana in Millmerran, where she shone in a strong field, winning the Rider class and Pony Club mount, placing second in best presented, and securing notable placings in sporting events, which earned her an impressive overall 4th place.

Shelby’s riding journey has been marked by many significant achievements, including winning the Butler Family Supreme Rider Award at the annual Cambooya Pony Club Campdraft and Formal Gymkhana. She was also chosen by her club to receive the prestigious Arnie Theiss Award for sportsmanship, highlighting her dedication to good sportsmanship and her positive attitude.

Her growth as a rider is a testament to her diligence, effort, and passion for the sport. This hard work has paid off with numerous champion and supreme titles at local agricultural shows. Most notably, Shelby was crowned the Australian National Champion Show Hunter Galloway at the Q24 Australian Quarter Horse Championships, a remarkable achievement that speaks to her talent and commitment.

In September, Shelby will take her first step toward becoming a Pony Club instructor, and she is excited to give back to her club in this new role.
