Isabella Kunde is a dedicated and hardworking rider who has been a consistent attendee at Harcourt Pony Club’s rallies, clinics, and competitions, always willing to help with set-up and clean-up. She works closely with her Pony Club members to learn valuable roles like pencilling, marshalling, and rail stewarding, making her a reliable and valuable part of the team.
Isabella has already earned her E, D, and D* certificates, and she’s excited to take on her C certificate in the coming year. Her partnership with her homebred Shetland pony, Fizzy Pop, has been nothing short of extraordinary. This year, Isabella made it her goal to make 2024 the “Year of Fizz,” and they have truly excelled together. Despite their short time together, they have won multiple champion and reserve champion titles in F Grade showjumping competitions and placed in Grade 5 horse trials, achieving their goal of representing at the state level.
One of their most memorable moments was competing in the Shetland races at Mooney Valley, where they secured an impressive photo-finish second place. This experience provided Isabella with valuable lessons in fitness programs and maintaining health diaries for her pony. Together, they’ve also represented Harcourt Pony Club in horse trials, showjumping, games, and the Victorian Pony Club Team Challenge, always giving their best effort.
At rallies, Isabella and Fizzy’s favorite activities include mounted archery and anything bareback. Isabella consistently shows great empathy in her riding, always striving to give Fizzy the best ride possible. Fizzy is always well-presented and cared for, and their bond is a testament to Isabella’s dedication.
The partnership between Isabella and Fizzy Pop has been a joy to watch. Competing against much larger horses, they tackle every challenge, big or small, with trust and determination. Whether it’s at obstacle days or competitions, they face each task with confidence and enthusiasm. Their achievements prove that with the right attitude and partnership, nothing is impossible. It’s been truly inspiring to see what this dynamic duo has accomplished, and they continue to amaze everyone with what they can achieve together.
